Continued from yesterday, [bark] won 14 to 13. Really close! And so…

BOWF! Your bark echoes through the cave, blows out the torches, cracks every egg open, and smashes the bridge. Whoa. A phosphorescent glow leaks from the shells, barely lighting the area. 

A tiny voice squeaks through the resounding boom of your bark. Something in the water calls out to you. The glow of the yolk lights up a little face, which asks why you’re being so loud. It thinks maybe you’re lost, and says maybe it can help. It’s got a nice little raft, it does. Says It’s got food and clean water back home, too. 

You need a break from barking, so you have two options.

You steer toward the lower tunnel, which sends you crashing down into a dark, waterlogged cavern. The creature dives into the water and skips off, taking the bone with it. You shake yourself dry and look toward a creaking bridge. Your tummy rumbles as you decide what to do next.

You go for the bone, but as soon as your mouth clamps down, a creature shoots from the dark and grabs the other side! The pressure pulls the cork from below, creating a vacuum and sucking you both down to the depths. You can’t bark; you can hardly open your eyes, but if you try hard you might be able to steer through the rushing waters.
