It’s even more distressing that those dingbats at ANN don’t know that Matsumoto is not an anime director the way people like Miyazaki and Oshii are. He’s a manga artist that creates stories and characters that *other people* turn into anime. The closest he’s come to directing is storyboarding key scenes.
