key to further mystery

Continued from yesterday, the majority wanted to buy the [MYSTERY KEY]. And so…

Reluctant to dump all your diamonds in one go, and admittedly interested in all things mysterious, you go for the Mystery Key. The little guy sighs, visibly annoyed. He turns around and lifts his shirt, revealing a keyhole on his back.

“Why’s everyone always want the stupid key, man?”

You now have 100 diamonds and two options.

what’re ya sellin’?

After a weekend break we’re picking up from last time. Most people chose to [rescue] our ally. And so…

As tempting as the bone is, there’s no way you can let your friend sink to the depths. Pure strength and resolve take over as you chomp down on his generous eyebrow hair and tug him toward the beach. [Throckmorton] coughs and wheezes, but he’s alive. He shakes himself dry and a bunch of diamonds fly out from his fur.

A voice sounds from behind. “That was craaaazy, man,” it says, asking if you dudes are ok. You turn to see a yellowish creature lumbering over on all fours with a tiny little fella on its back. “We thought you dudemen were done for,” the little one says as he hops off the bigger one’s back.

He says it’s too bad you couldn’t get that bone, too, “Those ones are, like, crazy rare.” The bigger one bellows in agreement. “Whatever, though, man, maybe we can help ya.” The little dude snaps his fingers and the creature’s body opens up, revealing an item-filled shop.

What’re ya buyin’?

Here’s what ya bought

creature feature

Continued from yesterday, most people wanted to aim for [the creature].

You point [Throckmorton] toward the creature. He nods, tosses you on his back, and straightens his body, arms stretched forward like a giant spear. His speed increases, forcing you to leap off at the last second as he tackles the creature, killing it instantly and knocking the bone out of its mouth.

There’s one problem… [Throckmorton] expends all his energy and returns to normal size, unable to swim. He thrashes wildly but his body quickly sinks. The bone is about to go under, too, so you have to think fast!

You can only save one…

Did ya do the right thing?

bye-bye, riot in the sky

Continued from yesterday, [wait] just barely won. And so…

You decide to wait it out a bit and see what happens. Not a bad idea, because prison riots are crazy, and that goes doubly so for sky prison riots. [Throckmorton] seems lost in it all as he thrashes his foes, but he casts a quick glance your way and winks, holding up one finger as if to say, “Just a sec.”

Sure enough, a moment later he spikes his last enemy, runs over, scoops you up, and takes a daredevil leap off the wing of the Sky Box right as it EXPLODES.

You’re pretty sure that’s the coolest possible way it could have ended, but you don’t have time to appreciate it. You need to direct [Throckmorton] toward a safe place to land and… wait, is that the creature from earlier? And does it still have that stupid bone in its mouth?!

Choose a spot!

You chose… wisely?

ram man

Continued from yesterday, most people chose [ram ally]. And so…

You’ve had it. You ram [Throckmorton] with all your might. He tells you to scram. You do it again. Beat it! Again. Enough already!! Again! WHAM! He finally looks up, enraged, but you don’t stop. You ram him again and again and again and–

[Throckmorton] rises with a thunderous growl. He swats you through the ceiling of the cell as he grows to colossal proportions, snarling and snapping along the way. He erupts through the rear of the Sky Box, igniting pure chaos.

A prison riot breaks out as you fight the winds atop the ship. None of the guards pay you any mind as they throw everything they have at [Throckmorton]. Jets buzz and Walkers stomp. You make it to the wing of the ship as it starts to lose altitude, look back, and hesitate.
