The more you and [Throckmorton] descend, the foggier it gets. Scattered crystals jut out from rock walls, and you eventually find yourself in a series of caverns encased in what appears to be pure diamond. Come to think of it, [Throckmorton] remembers why he usually doesn’t go under…
Before he can finish the thought, diamond-encrusted monsters leap from the darkness, poised to attack!

Continued from yesterday, [lick] was the winner. And so…
You muster all your strength to lick the beast’s palm, triggering a sudden whirlwind of energy that takes you both by surprise. You find yourself quickly but gently falling to the ground below, and before you know it you’re standing next to a much smaller version of the beast.
He thanks you for calming his rage, and says he remains forever in your debt. He doesn’t have much to offer, but he does scoop up some water for you, and swears on his life he’ll help you out of this twisted cavern. He asks you to choose a path, ’cause it’s all the same to him and frankly he can’t quite recall which one ends up being the most troublesome ‘n whatnot.

Continued from yesterday, [eat] was the majority choice. And so…
Your tummy rumbles violently after a few bites of the food. You feel weak, and before you know it you’re paralyzed from the neck down. The ground rumbles as you collapse, and a booming laugh takes over.
The house falls apart and you find yourself in the palm of a giant beast. His trickster fingers laugh at your pain as the beast prepares to toss you in his mouth. You can move your face and nothing else, so it would appear this is the end… though you’re beginning to wonder how strong this thing is if it had to drug a small dog just to get the best of it…

I’m going to interrupt all the Choose Your Own Adventure excitement with a quick update (don’t worry, the fun continues later today).

No, I don’t have a new cover yet, but I did put all the old ones on the subhumanzoids tumblr. Tumblr kind of annoyed me this morning because I couldn’t just get rid of the Slamm Dunk tumblr and make subhumanzoids the primary account. It’s not a huge deal, but it means when I follow people it goes through the former instead of the latter.
Look forward to an actual Slamm Dunk update soon.
Continued from yesterday, [raft] was the majority choice. And so…
The kind fellow raises a raft from the depths and escorts you to his modest home deeper in the caves. He talks a lot, maybe too much. He introduces you to his wife, who seems nice enough. After what feels like an eternity of stories and the awkward, hushed bickering of a long-married couple, they bring some food and drink from below and offer you a small meal.
